Just a short stroll brings you to the quaint beach town of Sechelt, where you will find charming specialty shops, a beautiful oceanside trail, and even the Lighthouse pub (a local favorite!). We are able to accommodate families traveling with children. Take the Langdale ferry from Horseshoe Bay enjoy the fabulous views of Howe Sound during your short 40 minute ride, a 30 minute easy drive from the Langdale B.C. Ferry terminal brings you to Above the Inlet.

Whether you are planning a short afternoon family getaway or an extended overnight adventure, Sechelt Inlet has it all - fantastic scenery, abundant wildlife, easily accessible wilderness beach parks and surprises around every corner.
The spectacular mountain ranges surrounding the Inlet rival the best coastal scenery to be found anywhere in BC. Tall green snow-capped mountains tumble majestically into the clear blue ocean waters that make up the Inlet system. The luxuriant green shoreline vegetation reflects off the generally calm, tranquil waters creating a lush, tantalizing visual feast.
Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
Above the Inlet is perched high above Porpoise Bay Inlet just one block from the beach, and across the inlet from Porpoise Bay provincial park a favorite place to swim and enjoy the sandy beach, a great place to plan a family picnic. Just a short stroll to Sechelt Marsh where you can sit for hours and enjoy to birds and tranquil surroundings, there are many walking trails..... so bring good walking shoes.
We are a 2 minute drive to the heart of Sechelt where you will find interesting shopping, a movie theater, Rec centre with Gym and Salt water pool.
Fish from the dock in Sechelt or nearby Davis Bay.
Lovely meandering path along the waterfront in sechelt it is a great spot to watch the Sun set and for great picture taking on the cascading rocks that are at the head of the path.

It was first experience of B & B. Patricia ensured that our experience was the most memorable. My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful experience at The Inlet B & B. We walked to different places and had fun.
We have stayed many times above the inlet and the owners are friendly, they make you feel very welcome and the accommadation is second to none, would i recommend it, YES i would its a lovly peacefull place and if your lucky you may some of the wildlife, we did
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at Above the Inlet B&B! Peter and Patty greeted us warmly at the door and were fantastic hosts the whole time we were there! We were shown to our suite which was well appointed with a lovely king sized bed, a kitchenette, seating area, LCD TV with DVD player, even a private patio off our room! I had always pictured B&B's to be so a part of the main house that you wouldn't have any privacy but that wasn't the case at all. Our suite was totally private and we were free to spend as much or as little time in the main part of the house as we wanted. By the end of the 5 days we stayed, I was sad to leave. We felt like a part of the family and had a fantastic time playing games and sharing our time with Patty and Peter. Sechelt was a great destination for my boyfriend and my romantic winter holiday and I would absolutely stay Above the Inlet any time we return. We are planning to return this summer or fall and hope to find availability for our stay.
House Rules
The vacationer agrees to pay 50% upon booking and the remaining 50% upon arrival.
All persons staying are to be disclosed at the time of booking and if extra person or persons are to be added to the party notice to us must be given prior to arrival.
Cancelation Policy
A 100% refund of your deposit if notice of more then 30 days is given except for any refund fees charged to us. Less than 30 days notice then deposit will be 100% refunded only if we are able to rebook your entire reservation period, except for any refund fees charged to us.
